Pithou, Pierre
   Pithou was trained as a lawyer in Paris and he converted from Protestantism to Roman Catholicism in 1573. He is remembered as the author of Les Libertés de l’Eglise Gallicane, the first formulation of the essential principles of Gallicanism.
